Welcome!
the purpose of this site is to blog our reflections through the course of finishing the Bible. It’s going to be bundles of fun and good times, cause God’s word is compelling, amazing, and wow wow wow! This is a way we can connect with one another and ultimately grow in Christ. (oh, just a random thought. if you notice in my blogging, i tend to capitalize just big words like God or Christ. i’d like to apologize if you find that annoying)
there are so many ways of reading the entire Bible, and we haven’t thought of a way yet. please pray for us, since we haven’t had much down time think it through. It’s not always easy to commit to something you really want to do, so hopefully this new years resoloution of ours can be accomplished in the light of God. if you are thinking,”mmm, i’d like to find a way to read the entire Bible too,” then here’s a good site (thx jacq):

so why 2-tOne? when we first came together, we came up with tacky, cheesy, and funky names like: word-up, racing rockets, racing revelation, name we call each other put together
(yuck), but we couldn’t settle with any of them (it was getting late, and we were dead tired too) . i woke up one morning and thought of a song i shared with jacqueline many months ago. it’s called, “the year of the rat.” in the lyrics, there’s one part that says, “one plus one is one.” even though this equation is contrary to mathetmatical logic, it reminded me of a verse in Genesis, ” For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” we’re not married, but i’m proud to say that we are working towards marriage, so i thought we need that idea in our blog name. if you look closely at 2-tOne, it’s actually two to one, where ‘to’ and ‘One’ shares the same ‘O’. we are two persons working towards becoming one flesh. pretty sharp, eh? the other definition to 2-tone is its more obvious sounding name, ‘two tone’. we have different thoughts, strengths& weaknesses, gifts& talents, and writing styles (sounds opposite, yet we tend to compliment each other that way). this blog is where two people with differences come together to express their own style in writing about the Bible. i hope you find this name to be quite exceptional. continue to join us in our one year Bible journey. enjoy!
